Giving Tuesday: December 1st, 2020

On Giving Tuesday we want to share stories about the ways that our earthday365 family has given back over the years. If you feel inclined, please send any of the following to info@earthday-365.org:

  • Photos of you volunteering through the years
  • Pull out your Volunteer t-shirts and take a selfie!
  • Share a favorite memory of your involvement with the Festival or earthday365 events
  • Take a short video responding to: Why are you part of the earthday365 family?

Eco-Media Club Kick-Off

Join us for our first Eco-Media Club event! We will meet 10 times/year to discuss movies, books, shorts, and other media on environmental topics. This is a membership perk, but the first two will be open to the public! On Dec. 1st at 6:30pm, we will be discussing Kiss The Ground, led by our Young Friends. Watch it on your own on Netflix or join our screening via Zoom on December 1st 5-6:30pm, then join our interactive discussion about the film 6:30-7:30pm. Register now for the zoom!

Released in April 2020, Kiss the Ground is a full-length documentary narrated by Woody Harrelson that sheds light on climate change from a new perspective. A revolutionary group of activists, scientists, farmers, and politicians band together in a global movement of "Regenerative Agriculture" that could not only balance our climate but also replenish our vast water supplies and feed the world.

Thank you so much for joining us for our week of celebration!

The Green Curbside Hop was a great success with 8 Green Dining Alliance restaurants and over 115 tickets sold! Participants also received a gift bag full of items from St. Louis Earth Day Festival vendors.

Congrats to the winner of our Green Curbside Hop passport riddle - Chelsea Ruholl!

Green Dining Certifications are Back!

Delicious turkey! The GDA is back at it, recertifying restaurants and consulting. We have created a hybrid certification process, with a virtual audit and short in-person walk through. We also have updated this GDA blog post with each restaurant's hours and service options. Check it out! We are happy to continue to be a resource for restaurants. As for you, our GDA Program Manager Victoria Donaldson has put together this helpful guide to GDA restaurants offering holiday food options. Celebrate sustainably and support local restaurants!
