THANK YOU – We Did It!

What an AMAZING St. Louis Earth Day Festival!

We hope you all were just as inspired as we were. Thank you to the tens of thousands of attendees, plus sustainable sponsors, vendors, volunteers, waste diversion crew members, and community partners for making the Festival magical.

See our video recap here and photos here!

Don’t forget – Earth Day is every day, and you should incorporate Climate Hope into your daily lives, whether it’s signing up for at-home composting, contacting your representatives, becoming a regular at a local sustainable business, or volunteering at climate organizations in STL.

Meanwhile, we’ll be back to focusing on our year-round programs: the Green Dining Alliance, Recycling On the Go, Environmental Justice Days of Action, and more. Keep reading to know how you can support us!

We have also published our 2024 Annual Report with more details about the impact these programs made last year, which you can view by clicking below.

Donations Matched for Give STL Day

Happy Give STL Day!

If you appreciate our work for sustainability and environmental justice in our region, you should know this is the best day of the year to donate—because not only are all contributions fully matched up to $2,000, but you can also maximize your donation even more if you give during our 6pm–7pm Power Hour. This campaign ends at MIDNIGHT!

Our vital environmental work has recently lost funding from the EPA and NSF, so we ask for your help in filling that gap. In this era of federal threats against environmental organizations, support from our community is more important than ever, and we gratefully appreciate any and all contributions to our mission.

Welcome Our 6 New Young Friends Board Members!

We are so excited to introduce 6 new additions to our Young Friends Board:

  • Molly Corley, Sustainability Coordinator at Missouri Historical Society
  • Jackie Kinealy, Communications Manager at City Greens Market
  • Shamel Robinson, Founder of Sonder Lush Nail Studio
  • Abby Schembra, Reforestation Partnerships Coordinator at the National Forest Foundation
  • Dmitri Schmidt, Herbarium Digitization Assistant at the Missouri Botanical Garden
  • Caiti Sloman, Account Supervisor at FleishmanHillard

What an amazing group! We are so grateful to each of these climate advocates for choosing to contribute their skills to our mission, and we can't wait to see the impact we make together. Read more about each of them by clicking the button!

Join Us for STL Green Drinks TODAY!

We’ve got to continue building community!

Join us for our monthly environmental social hour at one of our favorite sustainable event spaces: Urban Chestnut Brewing Co. in Midtown (Green Dining Alliance certified)!

We’ll of course be celebrating Give STL Day, where you can donate during the 6pm - 7pm Power Hour to not only have your contribution fully matched, but also increase our portion of the $20,000 Give STL Day prize pool. Even if you don’t donate, we’d still love to have you for a fun night of community connection, sustainable craft beers, and great food!

We’ll see you soon!

Environmental Justice Days of Action

Keep making an impact with us! We’re in need of volunteers for our next Environmental Justice Day of Action clean-up in partnership with MCU, supporting the Hyde Park community of North City.

We will meet next Saturday, May 17 at 9:30 AM at Joshua House Ministries (3934 N. 20th St.) to remove illegal dumping from surrounding areas, then share our experiences and brainstorm what 2025-26 policy change can look like for environmental justice.

Because no neighborhood is disposable, we show up for those most impacted.

Volunteers will be rewarded with free lunch! Please sign up below.

Come to Our Undumpster Day!

St. Louis, we're back with another community recycling event! Join us for an UnDumpster Day on Saturday, May 31st - this time in South City!

Clear out your closets, garages, and basements— now's your chance to responsibly recycle electronics, latex paint, medical equipment, and more TBA. Together we can keep these items OUT of the dumpster and support a reuse and repair focused circular economy.

***Note: Electronics and latex paint recycling fees are waived for early attendees while funding lasts. Come early to take advantage! Fees may apply later in the day.

📍 4701 South Grand
📅 Saturday, May 31, 9 am - 12 pm

Enjoy local food trucks and educational entertainment with the family while you're there!

Big thanks to our sponsor: St. Louis-Jefferson Solid Waste Management District.
