Staff Departures

We'd like to say farewell to Bob Henkel, who has left the earthday365 staff after almost 10 years. Bob helped to grow our Recycling On the Go program that has reached over a million individuals in the St. Louis region, providing education about composting and recycling. His dedication to the mission was apparent through his work managing pilot programs, helping create a GDA app, helping make sure events around the city become more sustainable, and educating everyone he could about the do's and don'ts of recycling and composting. For the past two years, he provided leadership in bringing back successful St. Louis Earth Day Festivals post-pandemic. He never fails to light up a room with laughs and even became our personal handyman around the office. Bob (and his hat) will be dearly missed!

Staff Arrivals

We have a new team member! Kelly Lu, previously our social media intern, is now our Communications & Marketing Coordinator. She'll be covering our social media, monthly newsletter, graphic designs, press releases, and more. Like the rest of our team, she has a huge passion for sustainability and also loves thrifting, fashion, anime, and gaming. You might catch her taking photos at our events!

Whether you’re a home chef, an executive chef, or just an eco-conscious consumer, “Greenwashing” is a practice you encounter daily, though you may not realize it. Every consumer should be aware of greenwashing and understand what it means. Our goal at the Green Dining Alliance is to help you make the best decisions for your restaurant and community. Click the button below for a curated collection of helpful resources.
