Hard-to-Recycle Fair!

Come one, come all to our Hard-to-Recycle Fair - a new spin on our previous Recycling Extravaganza!

It's time to save up your old electronics, clothing, fabric, furniture, sports gear, medical equipment, and cell phones to bring to our 6 unique vendors: Midwest Recycling Center, Passback, JustusedTech, STLHelp, Remains, and Home Sweet Home.

Enjoy tasty slices from Pizza Head's truck and refreshing Scoops Italian Ice while you're there - the first 100 attendees get a free scoop!

See the lists of accepted items below and join us on Saturday, July 27th from 9am-12pm at Mallinckrodt Elementary School.

Welcome, Nia!

We are so excited to introduce Nia Duke, our new Environmental Justice Outreach Coordinator VISTA AmeriCorps!

“Hi, I’m Nia! I recently graduated from Southeast Missouri State with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and minor in Sociology. Right now I’m enjoying post-grad life but plan on pursuing a Masters in Public Administration! I’m also a member of the youth development program Junior Black Chamber of Commerce. In my free time, I enjoy taking walks, reading books and cuddling with my dog Winnie!”

Environmental Justice Days of Action

We have a full month of Environmental Justice Days of Action ahead of us! Join us for any of our 4 litter cleanups to help make a positive difference on local communities most impacted by illegal dumping.

July 8th and 13th (Riverview) volunteers with A Red Circle will be treated to a boxed lunch by Chef Queenie Vesey with a chicken or veggie wrap, truffle chips, and a dessert. July 13th (Normandy) and 20th volunteers with Metropolitan Congregations United will enjoy pizza!

STL Green Drinks Happy Hour

We’re heading to one of the coolest spots on the Loop for our next STL Green Drinks!

Meet us on the unique solar-powered rooftop of Eclipse Restaurant, part of our Green Dining District in Delmar Loop, to connect with the eco community and discuss local climate solutions.

To us, the coolest thing about Eclipse isn’t their spinning moon monument, but their 5 star Green Dining Alliance certification! They source from local ethical farms, compost their food waste, and donate to charities like Operation Food Search. They also use reusable and compostable serviceware, offer local GDA-certified beer, and more!

We’ll see you on July 11, 5pm-7pm.

A Massive Thank You

Thank you so much to St. Louis-Jefferson County Solid Waste Management District and the Department of Natural Resources for continuing your support for our regional environmental programs yet again this year! This grant, funded by a percentage of tipping fees at your local landfill, provides earthday365 with some of our most vital ongoing funding, supporting our Recycling On the Go and Green Dining Alliance programs as well as our Too Good to Waste food waste messaging campaign. We couldn’t do it without you!

Congratulations to Sugarwitch for becoming a member of the
Green Dining Alliance!
