Dear Friend,

While operating a sustainable business can save you money in energy costs, it can be expensive in other areas. The Green Dining Alliance is working on some EPA grants to help reduce costs for GDA Members in their efforts to be more sustainable.  As a GDA Member please take a moment to fill out the survey below to help us identify what areas and incentives would impact you the most. Being prepared for heatwaves and record setting flooding is important. Making sure you're prepared for when your food service equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systems go down is also critically important and Ameren has some cost saving rebates that you should keep in mind.  We've listed GDA Members that have participated in Operation Food Search's Tomato Explosion fundraiser, and recent GDA recertifications for July.

What We're Working Towards 

The more information we can collect on how the costs associated with being sustainable impact your business, the better we can tailor our grant proposals to help support you financially in your sustainable journey.  We're working towards getting funding to support GDA businesses that opt in to use a composting service. Refrigeration is a major contributor to carbon emissions. Routine maintenance keeps your refrigeration units running at tip top efficiency, so we're looking into getting funding to support refrigeration maintenance. Environmentally friendly products are more expensive than harsh chemicals for cleaning and sanitation, so we're working to get funding to support businesses that uses products on the Safer Choice Certified List.  Please take a few moments to fill out the survey and let us know what would help you the most.
