Spring is Coming

In This Member Letter: Spring Success, Money Savers, Black Owned GDA Restaurants, and a New GDA Member Spotlight!

Dear Friend,

Spring time in St. Louis brings the excitement of warm weather and outdoor dining! Now is the time to prepare for spring projects around your domain.  Declutter and make the trip to drop off spent electronic devices and equipment at an MRC event or your local recycling facility.  Spruce up your exteriors and patios with native plants, LED stringers, and some fun re-purposed patio furniture.  Take a look at energy efficiency projects as we move into the warmer seasons. Chat with your food suppliers about local in-season products coming soon and add some fresh flavors to the menu.

Oh, and the St. Louis Earth Day Festival will be here before you know it, so don't forget to register as a food vendor in the link below if you haven't already! Registration is ending soon!

Spring Success!

The Art of the Patio

The Royale partnered with Custom Foodscaping to create a patio alive with native plants, fruit trees, and grape vines. They created an interconnected, symbiotic experience between the the restaurant, the food, and the customers. Not to mention it is visually stimulating, and creates its own buzz by attracting playful pollinators like bees, butterflies, and birds. While you're at it cut down on your food costs and go straight to the source by picking your own herbs, fruits, veggies, nuts, and flowers from your back patio or garden.

$ustainable Money $avers

Ameren Missouri's BizSavers Program

Is your breaker panel shooting sparks? Ballast systems buzzing? Outlets resemble the Griswalds from Christmas Vacation?  Outdated electrical equipment and bad wiring from old electrical systems that have been taped, rigged, and beaten up over the years can reek havoc on your utilities bill. Invest in an energy audit to learn about how you can save on electric bills and pre-apply for Ameren's incentives for saving money and energy. Incentives and rebates may be applied to lighting, HVAC, motors, new construction, and refrigeration upgrades that reduce energy consumption and promote more efficiency.  Energy efficient HVAC cooling systems can save a lot on utility bills during those hot and humid STL summers. Start strategizing to save on summer utilities.
