Recap: Hard to Recycle Fair

Thank you all so much for making our Hard to Recycle Fair a success with an amazing 247 vehicles unloaded! We are overjoyed to bring back our recycling events and you can check out our recap video here. The next one is on November 9th, with details to come soon!

We couldn’t have done it without our partner, St. Louis University's AI CHESS Lab, and our sponsors, St. Louis - Jefferson County Solid Waste Management District and Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Of course, we can’t forget our specialized vendors: Midwest Recycling Center, Passback, JustUsedTech, St. Louis HELP, Remains, Home Sweet Home, and 10 Billion Strong.

Thank you to our volunteers for their hard work in making this possible, and our guests Pizza Head, Scoops, and Amara Arts for bringing the deliciousness and fun!

Waste diversion statistics are TBD and will be announced at a later date.

Film Night at the Hi-Pointe Theatre: Can't Stop Change

We previously shared information about how climate change disproportionately impacts queer communities; now, we're partnering with Tower Grove Pride and Cinema St. Louis to show what that looks like from the perspective of individuals often at the center of climate disasters.

Join us for a documentary screening of Can't Stop Change: Queer Climate Stories from the Florida Frontlines!

As Florida's violent legislation dominates headlines, LGBTQ2S+ communities are also on the frontlines of accelerating climate change. This documentary weaves interviews with 14 LGBTQ2S+ artists, organizers, and educators across Florida (and the new Florida diaspora) into an intersectional climate justice narrative.

Entry is free, but donations are encouraged to help us cover screening fees. Sign up and/or donate below and we'll see you at the Hi-Pointe Theatre (1005 McCausland Ave) on Sunday, August 18, 6:30pm!

Recycling On the Go - July 2024 Recap

Our Recycling On the Go team had a busy July! ♻️

We brought our Zero Waste Stations to Food Truck Friday and our Hard to Recycle Fair, teaching hundreds of event attendees how to compost and recycle. We also participated in a Waste Characterization Study in partnership with St. Louis University's AI CHESS Lab team to research the rate of recycling contamination in different residential routes and determine how to improve it in the future.

See you again next month, STL!

Congratulations to these recertified members of the
Green Dining Alliance!
