Our next Day of Action, Clean Up Day, is on Saturday, August 21st 10am-12pm, in partnership with Ujima. Volunteers will provide assistance in cleaning up the vacant lot near Ujima's community garden space off Penrose St., near Fairground Park. Water will be available. Volunteers will be treated to 2 scoops from Scoops Italian Ice Truck.

Green Dining Alliance Program Manager

The Program Manager is responsible for administering the Green Dining Alliance program, including successfully developing and marketing the program, working with program participants, recruiting new participants, completing audits, and managing resources. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. Deadline to apply is August 16th at 12pm.

Recycling On the Go Recycling Ambassador

Recycling On the Go is still hiring for the 2021 season. Recycling Ambassadors will help educate the public and help event attendees sort their waste between compost, recycling, and trash, plus work with a passionate and sustainability-minded team. This is a part-time paid position with flexible scheduling. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

August Eco-Media Club

Our August Eco-Media Club is next week, on Wednesday, August 11th at 6:30pm. We will be discussing Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver, moderated by Board Member Tracy Haag. "Flight Behavior takes on one of the most contentious subjects of our time: climate change.
