| 2020: St. Louis Joins the Earth Day 50th Anniversary Celebrations Across the Globe Earth Day is now recognized worldwide as the most significant civic engagement event each year. The 50th anniversary of Earth Day will be marked by thousands of rallies and community events in every country in, and that includes St. Louis! | | | | Earthday365 is proud to partner with the Earth Day Network, the global coordinator of Earth Day, to join other citizens, cities, states, and countries, and mark this important anniversary with events and activities throughout the year. The St. Louis Earth Day Festival on April 25-26, 2020 is included in the list of significant global events that will take part in this initiative. Additional activities and events will also be announced soon. All are invited to join in to celebrate the milestone! | | | | | |
| | | | | Enjoy food tastings and drinks provided by Green Dining Alliance-certified restaurants, including specialty cocktails created by celebrated food writer and mixologist Matt Sorrell. Awesome mix-tape music, silent auction,Thanksgiving-themed raffles, free caricatures! Recreate the '80s magic with that decades totally epic attire and hairstyles! This event is crucial to earthday365 in order to fund our year-round programs: the Green Dining Alliance (GDA), the only restaurant sustainability certification program in the U.S. that works with restaurants to reduce their environmental impact; and Recycling On the Go (ROG), an event recycling service program, which offers both recycling and compost collection at small and large events in the St. Louis metro area. | | | In honor of the 30th anniversary of the first St. Louis Earth Day Festival in 1989. | | | | | | |

Who Are They? The Young Friends of earthday365 group is made up of emerging, young professionals dedicated to supporting the earthday365 organization. If you're interested in supporting the group, but are unable to commit to a board or committee position, please consider joining as a member! Get Involved The Young Friends of earthday365 are looking to fill multiple board member positions – Secretary, Vice President, Board Development Chair, and Board Member at Large, as well as marketing, membership, and events committee positions. If you are interested, please fill out the application at the bottom of our webpage and email to friends@earthday-365.org. | | | | | Annual fees consist of a $50 one-time payment or monthly installments of $5 and help support the year-round programming of earthday365. Become a member here, and like their Facebook to stay up to date with upcoming events and earthday365 news. Young Friends will have a table at the following events, providing opportunities to learn more about the group. Consider attending Urban Chestnut's Steins for Support on 10/8 from 5pm-8pm (a percentage of the evening's beverage sales will be donated back to earthday365), and Bailey's Range's Community Table Night on 11/25 from 5pm-8pm (25% of all food and beverage sales from the evening will be donated back to earthday365). | | | Member benefits include: - Discounted tickets to earthday365 events (ex.
